Vaani terms of service

Vaani is made by Eagle Wing, 506-507, Solarium Business Center, Beside Times Corner, VIP Road, Surat 395007, Gujarat, India ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you download or use Vaani, a voice typing app for macOS. By using it you accept them.

Vaani turns your speech into text on your Mac and types it into other apps. Speech recognition is never perfect: read the text before you send it or rely on it, especially for medical, legal, financial or safety matters.

Every new install gets a 14 day trial with all features. After that, Vaani stays free for 2,000 words a week. Vaani Pro removes the limit.

Pro is a subscription: ₹199 a month or ₹1,499 a year in India, or the local price shown at checkout elsewhere. One subscription may be used on up to 3 Macs that belong to the same person.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase. Taxes such as GST or VAT are shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or ask us. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. See the refund policy.

We give you a personal, non transferable licence to use Vaani. Do not resell it, share a licence key beyond the device limit, tamper with the licensing, or use Vaani to break the law. Vaani includes open source components under their own licences, listed in ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS.txt inside the app.

It is yours, and we never receive it. See the privacy policy.

We may update Vaani and these terms. If a change takes away something you have paid for, we tell you first and you can cancel before it applies. A new price applies only from your next renewal, after notice.

Vaani is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing here limits consumer rights that the law does not let us exclude.

These terms follow the laws of India, and the courts of Surat have jurisdiction, without affecting consumer rights where you live.
